Public Assessment Appeal Documents Search
The Assessment Appeals Division provides support to the Board of Supervisors through the Assessment Appeals Boards and Hearing Officers that decide disputes on property assessed values between the Assessor’s Office and property owners. The Division functions independently and separately from the Assessor’s Office and collaborates with County departments and appellants throughout the appeals process, including receiving and processing assessment appeal applications; scheduling hearing and sending notices in accordance with legal requirements; maintaining official records; providing administrative support and training to the Assessment Appeals Boards and Hearing Officers; and providing assistance to the general public on the assessment appeals process.
